Season of Advent

This calendar started as a piece of home. Sarah told us her mom had created an Advent calendar with little gifts each day for her every year since she could remember. Both she and her mom were sad that this tradition would have to come to an end this year. But instead of dwelling on what we would be missing out on at home during the holiday season, we decided to send a gift sharing our new homes instead. We wanted to celebrate the coming of Jesus' birth with our friends and families around the world through our own Advent calendar.

 

This Advent we invite you to join us as we count down the days to Christmas in this Advent calendar influenced by our lives in Jerusalem/the West Bank as we serve in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America's Young Adults in Global Mission (YAGM) program. Be with us as we wrestle with our faiths, the joys and sorrow, light and dark moments, in this season of longing and reflection leading up to the birth of Jesus Christ.
